Naff all in Braintree today...all the action is too far North! Havent even had any rain here...judging by rain today looks like we aint getting either...bang goes my chances for any decent storm activity today.....same old same old !!!

A lot of thunder around and warm sunshine, v dark in the SE, in the SW the cloud tops are absolutely immense!

Not much thunder (about 4 rumbles, that lovely deep rolling type) but the rain is quite heavy!

 

Same here, and the cell which moved to the north (over Norwich) appeared to be rotating to me.

A poor showing really i feel by the met office .

There should have been some heavy showers by mid to late morning and on into the lunch period ....

But barely a light shower and plenty of bright warm conditions ...

Yep.. little rain earlier and that was it.. bet we get hardly anything from this low over us...(famous last words!!..)

Afternoon all

 

Had some very heavy and torrential downpours here today, and had some T&L thrown in for good measure too

 

Sun is out now and warming up again, handy as I have to take the car in for its MOT today (fingers crossed it makes it out OK)

 

And it is the weekend   managed a POETS day as well

Still one or two heavy showers close by, I can clock up 2 more storms within 5 miles for this year, even if not super smashing ones

Was suppose to chuck it down around 3pm here in Essex no sign of any showers nothing at all not even on the Radar, was showing on the BBC bright colours completely missed us bet they wont even mention it was wrong

Seems to be lots of convection towards London/Essex way but doesn't appear to be dropping anything.

A few cells round me, doing all they can to miss me.  Can't make out how things are moving tbh, thought i was going to be lucky and then it suddenly changes direction.  They are winning.
