Mid levels significantly more unstable around here now - moon obscured by Ac, judging by the outline AcCas a definite contender but can't be sure....actually yes defo AcCas or if lower, Cu of some description.

Evening. Saw some lightning to the west about 90 mins ago (was north of Basingstoke, in Bramley, at the time) from the cell that's now near the south coast. Heard one or two distant rumbles with it, but that all disappeared. Waiting the next batch heading in from the north west. I'm expecting to be woken up in the next few hours...

Well I have Thunder nearby and plenty of sparks to be witnessed in the night sky, can't be bad. Good luck to everyone else too.

cold front destabilizing the humid air mass ahead of it readily......could be quite noisy for some tonight M4 corridor and SEwards

Good lightning show in this part of our region recently, long may it continue.

Thunderstorms keeping South, CAPE levels not too high, but high enough for a few storms.

 

My area is really not a hot spot for storms, the showers love avoiding here.

Well I'm happy must have seen about 30 strikes to west of Aylesbury, nice to sit on the balcony and watch. Fingers crossed when the next period of heavy rain gets here in about 40 mins we have the odd flash out of that lol

Met office shows some more showers tomorrow afternoon for some areas, although at the moment they do not look like being so potent....still something to keep an eye on anyway...

 

Enjoy if you are in the firing line, it looks to be developing nicely in the South.

Hooray! No thunder heard but frequent blue lightning from 2 sections of the sky to the E/SE of Warminster since 23.00! Very eerie with the full moon shining too!

It's going to be close, but the most intense stuff will graze the west of the town by the looks of it. I'm southern-central Reading so it's a nail-biter!
