It's been going an hour and 15 minutes now ... That siad the good middle chunk of it was nothing but heavy rain but I think as im on the back half now its picking up again.

Kaddy not keen for many (or any) of those showers and thunderstorms reaching here, but didnt rule it out completely. Very warm still with a nice breeze and some quite robust looking cloud way off to my WSW...whether that's the Hants cell or not I can't tell...No green eyes here...none whatsoever, nope, none... :cray:

Few good CG's & very deep rumbles just to the north of RAF Benson now... Didn't really expect anything tonight but this group of cells seems to be getting quite potent... Lightning Maps is pretty accurate too by the looks of things!:)

2 new cells popped up, one to the SE of Calne kicking out lightning every 20 seconds or so, and another to my NW near Malmesbury/Cirencester just starting to kick out visible lightning

Metoffice seemed to specifically mention that the storms would 'get going' into the overnight period. Enjoy those in C/S England as it'll be good!

cold front destabilizing the humid air mass ahead of it readily......could be quite noisy for some tonight M4 corridor and SEwards
