Any convection here hidden by a layer of cloud. Funnily enough despite the cloud temperature is slowly rising. Maybe some late afternoon sun which would be handy.

Bring on anything now I've done my exams. I don't mind when and where. Any chance for me this week?

It looks pretty poop for us in relation to anything of the storm variety... will just have to put up with the constant sun. :/

20c with 85% humidity and feeling very muggy,  first few spots of rain falling now from the stuff moving in off the Irish Sea. Wonder if we can get anything this far west....

Convection is really kicking off here now with towering cumulus. I would expect showers to break out more widely over the next couple of hrs.

That classic thundery looking sky is starting to take hold !! Im ready to chase if I see anything in particular. I think Rutland / SW Lincs and Northants could well be the hotspots.

Interesting 20.7C and 62% humidity here. So not really humid.

Think you're too far SW Will, the Western extent seems to be around Bristol and down towards Hampshire.

It would be utterly hilarious if something thundery turns up (at what has been short notice) over Wiltshire tonight a week after the much féted plume event which managed to avoid Wiltshire from all angles!!

Oh well, it doesn't really matter as long as it's warm I don't mind.

Just noticed here the clouds have started building with the bases getting darker.

They sure have. Really hoping for a surprise storm tonight

Interestingly, I fly to France at Lunchtime tomorrow to La Rochelle, so I could be following this same CAPE area in the air tomorrow ! :)

I'll send some pics in of any storms over there if we get any.

Its a balmy 23.1C, with DP at 14C, and RH at 58% so not feeling that humid! As a result feeling pleasant outside!

Some decent convection going on around here. Quite a few cumulus congestus clouds with dark bases. Not getting my hopes up for even a shower here.

Are these altocumulus castellanus?

Nope, they are too flat.

Look up on a Google images some examples - they should look (loosely) like little turrets (hence 'castle')

Have some fantastic convection outside my house. Will upload shortly. Moving very slowly east.

Quite cloudy here but very humid. GFS 12z has shifted best instability west but all other forecasts put the highest risk east of here. Not much happening so far but early yet.
