Seems a bit of a dejavu of saturday here. Rain set in but perhaps again maybe some embedded rumbles? Who knows

    Very much so!!!! Good spot!

Just need a Mk1 eyeball report from someone that way out to see what they think?

Has anyone heard from Supacell recently, or has he been blown away by some monumental wind?

Getting some interesting rain and thunder from the line of cells just passing Doncaster, the heavy stuff is about to pass me.

Is the east east of the UK, e.g Norwich area going to get any storms this year ? I have heard only 1 bit of thunder this year.

Storm shields seem to be up around here this year. Last good storm i can remember was a couple of years ago now!.

No Fair reading about the rest of the country having fun :(

If only I was back in West Yorkshire. Ill keep the moaning to a min. Any idea if lincs/east yorkshire may see something later? Seem to have a bit of an easterly atm which never usually goes well.

Once I know if that cell near Chesterfield now crosses the M1 without problem, I may go out to have a look, as it looks like its going to track up the south side of the M18.

Quite a crop of new cells recently formed Derby to Leicester.

EDIT: In fact now propogating east of Coventry.

That southernmost one, near Coalville/Ashby looks quite threatening.

There we go! Who needs experts when the weather conditions favoured storms *As I said yesterday!*

    5am we had a thunderstorm :)

Above us now with constant thunder.

Torrential rain. It's a monsoon out there.

    STILL NO LIGHTENING THOUGH

Must be lightning to create the thunder, probably way up in the clouds though. The storm we had the other day was the same, no cloud to ground lightning at all.

If it was taken during the evening its just a rainbow. By that time the atmosphere lets mostly red light through. Therefore the other colours of the rainbow show up very faintly or not at all. If its not evening I have no idea. EDIT: The arc being so high in the sky at the time would also follow the sun being almost on the horizon.

    8am today

Arghhh the lightnings just gone east of me :( Can't see too much developing west of where the lightning is now. To the east like east yorkshire/linconshire/east midlands looking very good indeed!

    Yes, that is true

One of the most active storm cells over here for a while, but without any visible lightening flashes to accompany the regular rumbles of thunder

Just been out for a nice walk with mum and dog after maths exam this morning. Feeling very warm but not too muggy. May see something later because altocumulus cloud is covering the sky here.

    8am today

Right that wouldn't tie in with anything I said I don't think. It still could be a rainbow, say if the shower was blocking enough light from the other wavelengths, by that time of course the sun is already quite high in the sky. The sky seems lighter on the right hand side underneath the arc which would tie in with a rainbow. The only thing that would make me think differently is the arc looks far too vertical compared to the height of the sun at that time. Hmm.

Walking to the shops and back has left me dripping in sweat, it's certainly very humid out there. We need a storm to clear it up, come on mother nature :D

The line of cells south of nottingham look very interesting. All very discrete, almost like something you see in the U.S. No expert but id say any of those could spawn a tornado.
