Bagged no less than 5 cells today! A very successful day chasing, certainly the best of 2014 :)

Did you get both supercells then?

OMG....what's happening over mid-wiltshire?....check the radar out NOW!......forget those active storms in Lincs/Yorks today!....and a big rasberry to those monsters in Germany as looking at the skies and the radar shows that THE development is taking place right here, right now, as we have MCS here!....

Mostly Cloudy Skies.....with more than a hint of convective drizzle............... :80:  :lazy:

I actually went and searched for where Wiltshire was to then check the radar and thought hmm maybe when the radar catches up we will see it lol!

Some strong radar returns south of London but no lightning detected, looks like the stuff in the channel will slip east of me too. Hoping for at least a distant light show!

Cornwall could possibly see some thunder tonight. GFS especially showing a fair amount of CAPE/instability. Even the Met Office throwing in some thunder symbols in the region.

Not sure, I definitely got the one that passed a few miles west of Derby. I am not sure if the others were supercells, although visible rotation in the cell that passed across East Nottinghamshire. I was under the cell near to Sleaford so couldn't really see much of the clouds as I was surrounded by a wall of water, hail and lightning flashes lol.

Theres a picture of the one that passed over Gainsborough/Retford at about 2:30, showing a cracker of an wall/shelf on it.

Ah if that was a supercell then I caught it near to Mansfield. The rain under it was incredible and roads flooded. Smelt awful too, like sewage.... the flooding I mean, not the town (Blidworth) :D

Just checked in to see what the latest is and all in reading is about cologne and Eindhoven....I thought maybe on or two excitable south coast posts lol. Is any potential for imports now written off? I hasten to add still at Windsor and unable to browse charts

Looking out of my window in Worcester facing SE things are really changing, not sure if anything will happen but the sky is darkening quickly and one tower is viable.
