Im so jealous of Germany right now. My friend over there was telling me of the storm earlier and got a few pics from paris last night from his friend. I don't think living in the UK cuts it anymore haha.

That NW Germany storm is now so big on the satellite, its cloud isnt actually a million miles away from the E UK coast!!!

Now start looking for the "cold ring" signature on the IR satpics, should appear soon. This is a rare event even here on the continent. Here more info on this

Got a nice cell heading my way, wind getting up so closed all my windows ..hoping.But.,,

No thunder. The radar shows nil points for strikes from it, but a lovely thing to watch.(not as amazing as that german storm, stuff of dreams that)

That storm over Munster is probably a once in 100 year event in the UK.

I've never been much of a fan of the Summer for obvious reasons lack of Snow and Frosts to name a few but this year all these storms and going-ons have really hooked on me - Thanks all for changing my attitude to the summer season, there is much more variety then I once thought :good:

We can only dream of the day something like this happens in the UK. I'm convinced it'l never happen.

This webcam in Osnabruck looks prime for some action, also they have a rainfall total at the bottom, it may increase from the 3mm there showing right now.

We are too far west/close to the Atlantic for real storms/real snow, we always get very minor compared to USA/europe etc

countries like that laugh in the face at UK's pathetic snow, storms
