Storm passing now. Few IC flashes and bangs but nothing too spectacular.

Me neither....... Annoying

Best you can do is watch that stream and refresh every couple of seconds. Should see some lightning though as it seems to be pretty continous in that storm.

Like a few have already said today's storm was excellent. Almost constant thunder and the heaviest rainfall I've ever witnessed, my garden is still flooded. It looks like there's a chance there could be more tomorrow, too. :)

Thanks ralph, looks like from the radar there's something heading my way...

Feels even more humid since the lunchtime storm. It's gone rather hazy now

well I can't say for sure, but putting it another way, your chances are considerably better than mine

Your chances aren't zero again are they?

It's gone really cloudy and just starting to rain in Grimsby, the cloud seems quite low, can hear a few rumbles of thunder every now and again, it's getting louder. Hoping for a good storm :-)

New to this website I have a thing with tornados and funnel clouds...always get excited with this sort of weather In hope I will see one haha x

God Lincolnshire is getting battered ! I bet the Belmont TV mast will get a hit! The encouraging sign is that the instability coming over the channel looks to be heading in a more northerly direction !!!

Amateur observer in Gainsborough recorded 28mm of rain in 20mins, with 2 cm diameter hail.

That is a remarkable fall!

Posting an overall summary of today here in Chesterfield

I headed south and stopped pretty much right next to Junction 29 of the M1

As i mentioned earlier and also said by others, we had some intense rainfall here, roads flooded and im still seeing things on Facebook etc. about floods now.

Iv posted 3 Pics below, one showing  the storms structure, one showing flooding on my garden, and the other showing my location while filming.

Thanks to the folks that replied earlier and confirmed the possibility of a developing supercell in the video clip!

Cheers.

I think we will have to wait until that MCS gets to Hamburg to get a decent view out of a decent webcam.

I'd hazard a guess that it was definitely a supercell, and at least one of the setups behind it was too.

Well, first set of storms to cross the channel have weakened considerably leaving just a damp squib in East Kent as far as I can tell. Hopefully that doesn't set the scene for the rest of them following on behind!

That is a remarkable fall!

That's 84 mm in an hour. I wouldn't be surprised if peak rainfall rates were above 100 mm/hr.

That storm over Bremen has thrown out 15k lightning strikes in the last hour, that's only the recorded ones!

my brother in Ashby-de-la Launde, near Sleaford Lincs, has phoned me to tell me he has 8 inches of standing water in his now flooded kitchen thanks to a beefy storm that blasted through in the past hour!

Beyond 150mm/hr at times, according to the radar.

good that many have seen storms today and the one's to no doubt arrive.in the SE tonight .......is there anywhere left in the UK that hasn't had a storm the past few days?....oh yes, here

Is there any way of having a lightning map of every strike from Friday through until today? If so there would be a void including all of Wiltshire which is quite amazing considering the size of the county!
