The wind vectors certainly look favourable for imported stuff across the SE this evening. Would be nice to see the cap break over the NW France a bit more readily...everything currently firing is slightly too far west!

Impressive, active line of thunderstorms forming further north!

Beeb seem to think so too

Yep heavy showers now popping up like there no tomorrow around the Leicester area with them spitting out sferics! Very envious of you guys up there but I guess that where all the CAPE was predicted to be, just hoping something pops up here over the next few days...

Rain clearing northwards didn't contain any T&L, hopefully the suns heating can help later this afternoon as we keep hold of some CAPE and negative index into the evening, not too hopeful though this far west!

Need some developments over Wales to be moving up towards us

You seem to be in the sweet spot there...that lot however is far too east for me, and even if I was at home by then (which I wont be) I probably wouldnt see much.

As usual, we shouldn't take the BBC graphics as Gospel, the MetO graphics themselves have it further West.

We'll just have to wait and see.

Small clip of what i shot earlier, not edited well and my camera work is abit dodgy so please excuse that!

Just wondering what sort of thing i was seeing on the right hand edge of the cloud.

Best seen if the video is sped up, cheers

Dont worry the video is the rotated the correct way when opened! ;)

Indeed, the other interesting thing is that the storms chugging away currently have a far more NE flow to them than the Beeb graphics are indicating.

But then again, the airflow will distort in the coming hours as we see thundery lows scooting across northern France.

I'm heading off to the races now so wont be on here for the rest of the day :cray: hope there is 3G so I can keep tabs on the MetO radar.

Good luck everyone :D

Rapidly rising motion on the back edge or inflow area of the storms, with rotation further to the left without a doubt super cellular. Very nice video  :yahoo:

Going to guess on this but I think it could be a possible wall cloud.

Sadly nothing on the radar following this band of rain thats moved northwards into Scotland, still it'll be a sunny warm afternoon to look forward to, better than pouring rain with no T&L! You never know something could crop up! Looks good for tomorrow but as ever it'll be hit and miss...

Potential Wall cloud from my amateur perspective, indicative of rotation/possible meso.
