Strange that the lightning app is showing another storm approaching Paris, but the main Eifel Tower cam isn't showing anything

I'm thinking that tower has to be a lightning magnet in the near future!

If anyone has been following the lightning maps and saw Paris explode, here is why...

I have been looking at this, the bbc also want to pull some heavy precipitation in from over the continent tomorrow evening and night into the SE. This after temperatures could be up around the 26c, possibly even 27c tomorrow.

So that's the Euro models vs the GFS and sods law then

Those storms look like piling into Belgium as usual, oh how I would love to be on an outside terrace in Bruges with a cold pint of proper Belgium beer watching these elevated storms pass over.

ECM has been his model of choice over the weekend, yesterday he went for a big no to surface based storms post front while all others said yes and we know who was right with that one, gonna be another long day of model watching tomorrow to see how developments go over The Channel.

I would love to go on a European chase, that would be amazing!!! Went on a mini chase today, started down in Cheltenham and stayed just ahead...ish of the storm until it reached Nuneaton, actually saw some lovely lightning then got hammered by hail (great day)

Scouring Southern Belgium for live webcams without luck. If anybody finds one for that area near Charleroi, post it up lease.

Was looking at that on the MetOffice website. Worth keeping an eye on, models CANNOT pin point where a storm starts let alone an MCS, hopefully this gets a westward correction and heads up towards London, Central and SE England etc  - it's been ages since we got some decent imports. SSTs are about 12-14*C during the night in the Channel at the moment. Looking at this, it would be a good display in the channel.

Problem again is the wind direction, if it was southerly, south easterly we'd get a direct hit.  Most if not all imports would head North Easterly.

Could be even better tomorrow with CAPE in excess of 4000 and an LI of -13 :bomb:

Off the scale even on the hi res NMM model.

For me this has Kent clipper smacked all over it! Plus tomorrow evening I'm heading WEST for a race night at Windsor, due home prob around 11.

I would be absolutely gutted if it did come in and I missed the action lol.
