Yeah I was pretty impressed and shocked when I was woken by the thunder as I was doubting anything happening here as the evening went on but it was a pretty nice thunderstorm.

Direct hit from the small cell that passed over Coventry. No hail but blustery winds, moderate rain and CC lightning around once per minute.

The NMM indicates more rain pushing up in the morning, not a lot in the way of ingredients that makes me think any of it will be thundery.

Yeah, I bet. I hope he's ok. It must be his worst nightmare today.

Altocumulus cloud to my SSW now and altocumulus castellanus cloud to my E now. Still, the air is unstable.

Some torrential thunderstorms possible tomorrow afternoon for central and eastern parts according to John Hammond

John also said comfortable temps for the north but hot in the SE with a high of 26c

Convection talk in here is most helpful, use PM for other chat would be my advice, Thank you kindly. Radar looking interesting in EC right now and pther some parts of Northern France, will it won't it? :friends:

Good to see my prediction from earlier came off too, according to one or two lucky individuals.

Having said that in my last post related to this, there is ML CAPE present over the English Channel tonight so a possibility I suppose.

Not much coming from it anyway. Best cell close to us has just gone past Stoke, but isn't on track for here. Stoke has done well this weekend!

Suggests to me possible sparks over the channel followed by wet parps over land, unless the chart is wrong
