Weather is beautiful this afternoon now, had a few spots of rain, but it's now sunny and warm!

Those storms in northern Germany are firing out sferics like there is no tomorrow! Over 10,000 strikes in that region alone recently and probably many more have gone undetected!

a short moderate shower but it died as quickly as it formed, single celled 'pop corn' shower with updraft quickly swamped so no T&L.....some moderate rain approaching from the south south west courtesy of some decaying mid-level convection

I am considering going out chasing in the south midlands, but I am unsure whether these cells will continue to fire up and how far east they will develop. I am in Northamptonshire so not to far from the cells that are already making there way north east of Coventry. Looking at the radar there does seem to be a lot of development popping up this evening, tbh more than expected.

Lightning and thunder from the storm earlier. Only heard two cracks of thunder though, but loud... best with volume turned up

Decent storm here at the moment, a few flashes of lightening, plenty of thunder and fairly heavy rain.

Just a shame that it's spoilt an otherwise lovely early summers day.

Temperature just reached 21c but the storm has dragged it back down to 16c now.

You really could not make this up. Storm stops producing sferics before it reaches here. Passes over and then becomes active again...Same thing over and over again
