Can't wait for that stuff in the channel to hit Dorset, interesting prospects from then on as it encounters peak heating.

Cap around here is weakening all the while with towers shooting up

Not happy about this rain, completely clouded over now. It might have been worthwhile if it was more electrified.

Strikes me as a lot more action across the SW than originally forecast. Yes isolated heavy downpours were forecast but strikes me (pardon the punne) that outbreaks are more extensive than expected. Estofex hasn't even the SW under a 15% lightning risk. Does make wonder whether the UKMO forecast is on to something for later down here

I think I heard a faint rumble in the distance from my S/SW...perhaps the same one you heard Karl!

Dark skies coming in from my SW.....could get lucky..

Don't give up faith, you had and still have a higher chance than me of getting something.

Does anyone know about the chances for tonight that people have been talking about for the last few days?

Splitting and going either side of me as per normal. Surprised it survived first one rebuilding as it leaves as per normal.

Heavy shower passed here, felt incredibly humid as it approached, you could almost sense that Lightning was about to strike...

But it didn't

Cell moved from Weston-super-Mare on towards Bristol. Didn't hear any Thunder but did note sferics shown on the storm app not far off.

I think there's a low chance of storms tonight/early hours in the south east, had lots of alto cumulus today which we didn't have on Friday and also plenty of mackeral skies this evening!

Better chance than Fri/Sat

Its here...rain started but skies are flat grey and not 'stormy looking'. Definitely a couple of rumbles from it but it sounds elevated?

I always get that gutted feeling when it gets fresher! That's when you know the worst is over!

Pretty much you can see them strikes pop up all round the Cardiff, Newport , Bristol area .......Couple in the Midlands also.
