It just feels too fresh for a decent storm- electrical activity dropping in frequency in the last 15 mins or so

Really need to move to a different area of the UK! No rain, no T/L, no interesting clouds. :-(

The plume never really had a chance to take hold before being harassed by the CF. If we'd had some embedded heat, this morning could have been a cracker.

Pretty good so far, first storm hit at 8.04, plenty of booms and bangs and lighting also heavy rain, looks like number 2 storm will hit in 15 mins. Currently tracking over Derby this way.

should be a good un !

and by the looks of it plenty more stuff to come later today.

Can someone with knowledge tells me if all the water in the ground left from winter will have any effect on the weather this Summer? Thinking about storms, humidity etc... Thanks

A few IC rumbles here now, sporadic rain moderate at times. Quite a messy line of convection.

Some storms coming from down south, just about to hit Portsmouth. Perhaps these could develop into the ones we were hoping for?

Well a lovely bright sunny morning here so hoping that can build some heat before the CF gets here in a few hrs. Good on those who experienced some activity overnight looks lively in some areas!

Has anyone seen the 5 foot deep craters left by the football sized hail the daily express was warning us about yet????

As expected Shield killed the storm but failed to kill the rain. 5.2mm in half n hour. Will the 2nd band produce and if that fails the third ?????
