Unbelievable. It went to the west of me, not only that-, it is pretty much in the area that the met office left unwarned- give or take a few miles.. You couldn't make it up!

Well, I told you... LOL :D

Two Short Video Captures. This storm just passed to the east of me. It's heading north

Here in Westwood Ho! not a drop of rain

Just a bit of a distant light show, at dawn

The thunderstorm has passed now and we only have light rain. I have to say, it was the best thunderstorm I had seen since 02/08/2013. I'm so happy that I got something and I wish you good luck to all those NW, NNW, N, NNE and NE of me as the thunderstorm moves N. It's highly unlikely I'll see anything else but with more developments over the W coast of France, who knows?

I am just starting to hear faint rumbles now :) Early morning breakfast watching lightning over the estuary perhaps? :D

It does seem to be shrinking though so I may just be that little bit too NE of it. Difficult to tell.

Loads of lightning here in Exmoor and the windows in this house are useless for me to witness, oh my luck eh!!!!Half tempted to get in car and drive up the road to the lookout point but really don't know if its worth it.

Skies returning to normal-ish now... well, I enjoyed that. Was a nice early morning wake up call. :)

Plenty of lightning and thunder... just still hearing the faint distant rumbles of it still.

:D

The Rain just coming inland further east over Sussex moving north is starting to intensify a little. Also a little storm has just popped up off the east coast.
