I have turned on my camera and will run it where possible overnight so long as the power remains on, the camera is facing the sky, so at the moment it's pretty dark out, so it'll just look blank until we (fingers crossed) get some lightning.

Here's what's been happening over Spain & France over the last five hours..... it's on the way :D

How exciting, them balls remind me of the national lottery :p Rainbow of colours quite sporadic. Definitely on course for Southern England. 15.6c the temperture has been degraded quite substantially from 27c just a few days ago. Might lack some oompth, but there is plenty up in the atmosphere. Tonight focus is on west of IOW.

I hate to say it but it looks like they might do. The gap between them is ever-widening and it looks like you'll be in-between them. There are still going to be plenty of storms tomorrow though and I never seem to have any luck with them anyway.

Assuming of course they are the only two storms to erupt tonight of course...I wouldn't even bother thinking about what they're doing...it's what is yet to develop that should keep our interest

Indeed - Met Office has showers/storms initiating over the Channel in a couple of hours...not sure if it is linked to the ones currently moving through France because it shows them appearing from nothing.

Not to be taken as gospel of course, but that is my current focus to see how things might pan out after.

If you look at NW France, and click on the North bound planes, they all seem to be giving Rennes/Nantes area a wide berth... Cant think why!

ORZ203's Captain decided to risk it though. Bugger being in a plane that small flying through it

Looks about right to me shaky! Matches quite well with Met Office for its positioning at 0100.

Insane rainfall rates on the Rennes storms - up to 150-200mm/hr according to the NW radar signatures. 6 inches in a hour. Wow.

Anybody doing an all nighter?

I am doing until I see my first flash of lightning. Then I will go to bed after one more hour.
