NW now forecasting storms for my area between 4-7am, I thought it would be 10am before we had a chance (though NW still say 10am onwards too)

Set a 4am alarm, or not?!

Curious to see how estofex deal with tomorrow's set up...certainly not envious as I'm sure it'll be a challenge.

My guessing a broad Lvl 1 stretching from Kent up to Scottish Borders and as far west as Wales...maybe (unlikely) a rare Lvl 2 for N England/N Midlands for excessive precip.

Certainly an exciting 24 hours coming up...love it :yahoo:

Usually do well for T storms here in Worcester but so far this spring they seem to be passing us by. However, judging by the latest hi res charts the sw midlands appear to be in line for the highest rainfall totals up until mid day tomorrow so fingers crossed for some spectacular action

Very true, think i'm going to keep watching up until 5 or 6am, i still have a strong feeling the Nottingham area north looks good around late morning, however i could be totally wrong.

Well the car is fuelled up and camera equipment on charge so fingers crossed for everyone.

Very warm out there this evening, 17.6c with 75% humidity and rising.

Really surprised its still 17°c here to be honest, with a strong onshore breeze! Usually temps would be a good 5°c down compared to the mainland with a breeze like that. A slightly lower 63% humidity here however. For now..

Our area is likely to see elevated thunderstorms arriving around that time (4-7am) so this seems accurate, although at this stage they are likely to be isolated. It's late morning into the early afternoon for us to get the most intense storms and torrential rain.

Finally in with a chance, last storm we had was early January.

There is amazing lightning coming from that!

It's not live, it's on a loop. Look at the time in the top right corner.

The Nantes thunderstorm seems to be very slow moving, those that get it may have it for a long time. I wouldn't complain if I got it though!

Looks to be heading in my direction, I am happy to wait if the lightning is as good as shown on this webcam!

You might have to wait a while though. It's only moved about 40 miles in the last hour.

Yes but the speed northward seems to be picking up rapidly!

This is a great site especially if you put the sound on and hear the 'ticks' as the lightning strikes. Definitely increasing the rate and speed..

Agreed, I just hope it continues to work as well once it reaches our shores.
