This week is certainly not one to remember. Thursday was the only day that featured a few distant rumbles of thunder and downpours. Looks like there is no chance of a storm today, the CAPE is only 190j/kg and LI -1. The most recent storm here was on March 29th, nothing this week I can count as a 'storm'.

Awesome little storm, around 20 cracks of thunder. Second to last one really shook the house! Couple of car alarms and another alarm from Tesco round the corner is still going off. Two storms in three days, Yay! :)

Just got a lot of thos around here at the moment. Its breezy. Earlier this morning while I was in a semi conscious state (late night last night and too early) was woken up by moderate rain and when I decided it wasn't thundery I lost a bit of interest but while I was dosing I thought I heard a faint rumble in the distance. I thought I better check later when I had enough sleep I did. It was probably from the strikes over near the wash.

Looks as though it'll just pass to the east of me, should still hear some distant rumbles though :)

It's not going to be long before things go bang, can see some very large towering CB's to my south which are gaining height all the while. Looking very angry with that lovely crisp hard edged definition  :clapping:

Those slow moving showers have reached here, now. Nothing electrified and certainly not anything heavier than moderate. Lets hope something gets them going later.

Thank you for your very kind welcome, i'm in no way a professional meteorologist but i do have a good eye for things and at the moment i can tell you it's damp out there and it's lovely drizzle :-) However the skies are brightening up quite quick now so hopefully once this low cloud breaks up i will be able to see the structure of any inbound storms.

Current temperature is: 13.7°c

Wind speed: 3.4mph

Pressure: 1005.8 and steady

Humidity:97%

Just a quick question, how do i load photos / image files onto the forum?

Not very good quality, but looking east towards central London from Hounslow in west London - quite a potent cell moving over the city producing some thunder.

WOW, powerful +ve CG out my window looking to the NW!

I am hoping they can hold their energy. Considering driving down the M1 towards areas such Milton Keynes/Northampton to meet them on the way up and see them before they provide Derby area with some light showers through the evening :)

Thunder. lightning and heavy rain at the moment in  north west London. If you have Sky Sports it might be worth tuning in to the the Derby v Qpr play off final. Kick off is at 3pm and this storm is in the vicinity
