Last night T. Schafernaker said today we would have to watch out for Thor and his thunder balls, when we hear that ,then its a no storm zone... hahahahaha.

Just had some rather large hail, id say 2cm - 2.5cm possibly 3cm a few of them and intense rainfall about 20 - 30 minutes ago in Antrim Town, Northern Ireland.  It was extreme.  I had take video will upload asap.

Quite a storm going on over the Netherlands at the moment !!

Is that expected to make it here?

If it manages to hold out, then possibly yes. More likely to hit Norfolk I'd say if it does get across

I agree Harry

BUT no murk here - blue skies and hot here in Essex

its not blue skies wall to wall

but lots of blue visible - its certainly feeling very warm indeed

Blimey Buckster, you and me clearly have very different definitions of  'very warm' and 'hot'.  The Met Office reports for Chelmsford were 11.7c at 9am and 14.4c at 10am. :cold:

Well that rain coming from the continent is taking longer to get here than I thought, I brought in the washing ages ago expecting it to start raining but the blue echo had no rain hit the ground when was showing it was over Norwich. Looking like it's going to start soon though.

I am afraid there is pretty much cross model agreement for the rain across eastern areas to be just heavy rain, no thundery element to it at all. Okay, not just heavy rain, there could be some torrential downpours with a lot of rain for some, but thunder and lightning is off the menu from what I can see.

The chances of any thundery activity tomorrow is further west across Wales and the SW along with possibly Western Scotland.

I think we should all jump on a plane to the mid west, god we get excited by a couple of rumbles and the odd flash, :).........

I am the same with snow, exciting when I get 3 cms, when elsewhere in world getting feet of snow

Once you've experienced US storms, British cloud farts just don't cut it any more! Meanwhile, the team out there are on a tornado warned cell I think, and the stream is working so far!http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=chaselive;sess=

by the looks of the forecast it looks to be cloudy all day.. will any activity require the sun to heat things up? kinda hoping things stay quiet myself now lm back online with my main system again :p
