beeb maps dont shows much after 6 or 7pm and what there is looks nowhere as heavy as what was earlier that mk cell might miss me not sure yet

If it holds it should pass just to your east perhaps affecting Rugby/ Hinckley.

Showers to the South, no sferics though

Very little sferics now. Something is capping these showers today across the bulk of England.

Been a very disappointing week for these parts!

Im sure our time will come soon enough though, May in general has been a promising month i suppose.

I think it's down to the temperatures, not exactly been warm today, maximum here has been 14'6c. Probably got something to do with all the heavy rainfall this morning and residual cloud which took until just after lunch to finally clear away.

Well, I wouldn't say it was a boring day but watching last night's BBC's weather forecast, I was getting excited and today all we had was light rain and a few heavy showers.

That's the problem, BBC Kiss of Death. As soon as they mention widespread thunderstorms, your lucky to see any at all. Same thing happens in winter when they forecast widespread snow events. I'd say they are right about three out of ten times these days.

An area of heavy showers around Northampton and Leicester heading NW could skim here to the south, although there is not much left on them.

Dont know about that - they are reinvogorating, the one nearing Rugby and other by Northampton has recently developed, both with recent sferics.

You may get Sheffield's last shower which is still building after it skirted round me.

Annoyingly I can see the convergence zone to the east clouds are moving from the South East to the West more from the South West. Fat lot of good it has done so far.
