I can confirm that during the week of supposedly big storms and heavy rain, I have accumulated..........3mm and zero T&L.

Typical of thundery/ showery set ups though, some spots always miss out :)

A little T&L here in NW London and 3.5mm of rain! Just a few miles away, they had hail, lightning, heavy rain, the works!

Been at the Devon County Show, this afternoon. The showers looked menacing. But, nothing much. Most of the heavy showers happened earlier in the day.

Sorry storm-lovers but today the meteor-outburst takes precedent over the weather. I'd take seeing a rare sight of 200 meteors per hour than a few mesly lightning strikes.

I think you'll crap out there, it'll be daylight by the time they come in to view across UK skies, it has been deemed a US event.

Moral of the story, don't walk around an open field with a metal object during an electrical storm  :whistling:

Nothing thundery, but this is about to hit me.

*changing details slightly to protect identity*

When I used to work on a inpatient unit we would occasionally get a man in who had been hit by lightening when he was 15. He was completely fine except for every now and then as a result of the strike he would have an episode whereby he would 're-live' the strike accompanied with all the physical symptoms and have a complete breakdown for a couple of days and then be fine again and be discharged as if nothing had happened.

It was one of the weirdest things I have ever seen, but apparently lightening strikes can do weird stuff to the brain for many, many years after.

Not the best place to be during a thunderstorm. Golfers really should check the weather before going out on the course!

Nice little cloud to the South. Shame nothing is to happen here. :(

I was nodding off then and a really loud crack of thunder woke me up.

Very heavy rain here, but no T&L though!Lightning maps picked up your strike though! Edited by Darren Bown

Well that went through with some of the heaviest rain I've seen in a while without a murmur from the clouds!

It's looking stormy up north, nothing for London today, except for boring old cloud and light rain, enjoy the storms !
