Considering heading east into Lincolnshire soon...

Just hoping that these storms will intensify and not die out as they make there way north

Quick Question - Whats more accurate. The Netweather radar overlay for lightening strikes or this new lighteningMaps.org site.

Netweather is showing some new strikers out west near Hereford, but nothing on the other.

have noticed a couple of things like that today.

Both seem pretty good to me, I normally have both open. I have never been let down with miss-information from  lighteningMaps.org site, but at the same time netweather seems to be pretty good, I think the only real difference is lighteningMaps.org site seems to update a bit faster.

We'll have our day, don't worry, but it's grim, grim, grim out there...

Isn't it incredible though how those storms have survived their channel crossing so well and gained strength as they hit the UK. Lovely for the folks down south. Enjoy!

I hope those torrential downpours get here from the SSE. They look tasty!

I think I'm still betting on Lincolnshire being one of the better places to be up North today.

Good thing I was working near Gloucester today! Just had a nifty little storm rumble through with several CG's and deep thunder.

Good stuff! All heading off N/NE now!

Can also still here rumbles coming from across the River Severn.

Beautiful blue skies coming over now from the S, warming up again, hopefully fuel for more storms lol

Oh dear oh dear oh dear, seems like I've managed to miss out again, not only that, but I am left with a cloudy sky.

Managed to escape from my windowless office just now - only for a couple of minutes.  Heard a couple of rumbles of thunder but sadly didn't witness no lightning.

Am hoping the storms are still around when I finish work at 4.30pm...
