Just heard a small rumble come from my west and I can see the Cb of the storm just east of reading poking out between clouds.

Convection kicking off further east now. Heavy shower just popped up out of nowhere in NE London and another just west of Chelmsford. Radar will be looking pretty crazy by 3pm!

Still dry in northeast Chelmsford with the sun trying to poke through the clouds and cool in the breeze when no sun showing.Hopefully we will join in the excitement later this afternoonKind RegardsDave

Still only just too far east here. Can see the threatening skies running northwestwards to my southwest while brighter skies towards London.

Very shocking! it grew right over us for a change! Looking at the radar i would suggest there will be another in the next 30 mins. Im off up to kempston wood hill to watch hopefully! Good luck fellow bedfordian!

Yep came from  taking little one to school and it build up in minutes..Looks amazing and even think we had a funnel cloud from it so hope i can get the pic off my phone. Normally speaking it rains/thunders just after noon (after little one is safe at school) then will do it again at 3pm (when i go to collect her). Good luck to you as well and 'hears' to next few hours!

The thundery shower we had here in Aylesbury has just moved to the north. The sky is looking very dark to the south of me, I think this is the cell around the Reading area, I have a feeling this will pass to the West of me.

Visiting Bedford this week in a village to the north, storm been going on for the past half an hour, then just had a very close strike of lightning and a massive crack must have hit somewhere incredibly close!

Ok well that was 'moderately biblical'... torrential rain, thunder ever minute or less for a good ten minutes and epic sinister clouds.

Going north over high Wycombe, if you get it... enjoy!!!

Lightning app on the iPhone just went of telling me there was a strike within 10KM of MK, currently sat under the outflow of a huge cumulonimbus to the south of MK, hardly a breath of wind with darkening skies to the south and heavy convective rain falling straight down.

It really is unbelievable seeing two potent storms either side of Bristol with Bristol itself likely to be passed by completely. Couldn't make it up haha.

Heavy hail shower B-) no thunder or lightning yet dark sky's to west and east if me if that makes sense ;-)

30 seconds of rain here. Those dark skies are just to the west of me and my mw radio is picking up near constant sferics. I can just about hear very distant rumbles of thunder.

Can hear constant thunder to my south, Haven't seen any lightning yet. I'm in the clearing you can see (the little dark dot) lol I'm thinking the stuff to the south should just about get here.
