Very nasty looking skies to my W and NW! Sun coming out here to with boys of blue sky, you can really see the towers going up.

Mental overhead thunderstorm just clearing away from Southampton (Totton) now. That was impressive!

It looks to me that there's a hook echo on that beast to the east (rhyme might have been intended) of me. Difficult to tell on the crappy UK radar network but it may well be.

Sun is shining here.  No sign of any convection either.  Another bust for Medway it seems

Shocking isn't it? Shame it seems to be intensifying as it moves away.

Britain's on FLOOD alert: Ferocious storms to bring nearly a MONTH'S rain in just ONE day

BRITAIN was last night warned to brace for heavy thunderstorms and the risk of widespread flooding.

More than half a month’s rainfall is expected today with warnings that torrential downpours could lash the UK throughout the weekend.

The Met Office has issued a severe weather alert for rain across the South, where more than 1.5 inches is likely to fall in a few hours.

Sorry I couldn't resist! The Daily Express  are at it again, anyone had nearly a month's worth of rain today yet? I just had a ten minute, quiet thundery shower that barely wet the pavement!

Very interesting rotating scud on the bracknell cell. Spotted a fair few bolts though as it passed by. Thunder now growling from our south going dark once again hoping we get a direct hit this time
