That mass leaving France is going to swing close to my location, but if it follows the same line as the earlier storms will probably miss...who'd have thought it'd take so much just to get some heavy rain, let alone thunder

If I could half confident it'll remain electric I'd shoot off to Dymchurch

Edit: running the radar it's all going to miss here...can't believe it, yet another bust!! Cannot believe that even this isn't even going to result in rain, let alone thundery rain...getting pretty frustrated now tbh

The low 'arms' over spain will pivot west, giving rain (may i swear) Storms! to the uk, pulling up the airmass off France,

Ok so things are getting quite close to me now here in Norwich. I'll report if I see anything happen. I don't think I need to venture out at this point.

Looks like I dealt that storm the kiss of death  :fool:

The rain in East Anglia is starting to move more NNW instead of NNE now, the stuff behind might start to do the same.

Typically my old home of Great Yarmouth looks to be in the bulls-eye position of the first wave.

Look at the radar returns now on the precipitation West of the Brest Peninsula. How this isn't producing lightning is beyond me but it doesn't appear to be.

Bbc seem pretty confident of thunder and lightning tonight 'If the torrential rain doesn't wake you up, the loud bangs might.'

As other's have already said this will come down to nowcasting, so strap ya seat belt on this rides gunna be buuumpy ..!  :bomb:

Does anyone remember the last major thunderstorm outbreak that crossed the channel overnight about 5 years ago?? On the radar it just showed a huge swathe of 'whites about 100 miles across' with spider lightning reported in places, I remember how gutted I was when it had all died out before it reached northern england.
