Looks like a decline in the CET over next few days, some quite cool minima and maxima for many, indeed maxes of 15-16 and lows of 8-9 are preety cold conditions for late June. We are actually under 'cold synoptics' for the first time in a long time..

It looks to me like we'll finish around 15-15.2C. Possibly dip below 15C after corrections.

It's been another one of those months that so far has come in above average but doesn't feel as warm as it currently showing according to the CET suggests, not at least around here. It's the lack of a really hot spell that is giving that impression.

I think over the last few months its been the lack oflow overnight temperatures that has driven the CET rather than any particularly warm daytime temps which suggests to me that we have had more cloud cover overnight than we would normally have had. Galactic cosmic rays anyone!!!!

Seems to have been a very warm one for Scotland pushing the figure up.

Here in England they have 15.2C to the 25th which is a 0.4C correction down and if it continues to drop will probably put 2010 and 2007 ahead.

Up-to 15.7c to the 26th

1.6c above the 61 to 90 average

Well that's rather strange; I thought the minimum temp in the cet zone yesterday was around 8, and the maximum around 19. How that equates to a rise from 15.6 to 15.7 beats me. Maybe my figures are way off? perhaps someone can confirm? :unknw:

Yes, whilst we have seen consistently above average mean temperatures all year, we haven't seen any particularly notably well above average CET periods. What has been notable has been the lack of any cool minima periods due to lack of high pressure and an airstream mostly between west and south, bringing in a lot of cloud. Maxima at least in the north hasn't been too far from the norm. The last time we saw a lengthy period of above normal CET was summer  2006- spring 2007, then we saw higher maxima thanks to the influence of high pressure particularly during the summer and early autumn, and April 07, interspersed by southerly airmasses in the winter.

Sunny Sheffield down to 15.5C should be 15.3C tomorrow unless we get some evening sun to boost the temps up.

Hadley having some data problems, the value to the 26th should have been 15.5 and not 15.7

No Update From Hadley....

I spoke to the Meto regarding this and according to Tim Legg " One of our servers was switched off last week resulting in no updates, but we should have it up and running today or tomorrow".

Meaning its the warmest June for four years.

Just 0.1C out for June!

Yes, the warmest CET since 2010 which came in at 15.2C and on a par with 2007.  However, it was a much warmer June this year for Britain on the whole.

15.1C blimey Sheffield warmer. Rather strange that one. Means I'm 0.3C much better than I expected.
