Stuff over France has a much more Northerly shift to it now..

TBH, much of the stuff over France (bar a couple of small areas) appears rather uninspiring. Would rather that naff off an hope for some home grown talent (if indeed the CF hasn't gone through as Nick F alluded to earlier)

I had to go on a trek to drop off some paperwork for a new job. Thought I'd take a walk afterwards, clouds starting to look ominous. Couldn't resist taking these shots :)post-21867-0-90194300-1400600897_thumb.jpost-21867-0-83491000-1400600925_thumb.j

Metoffice pptn charts have changed somewhat and suggest lighter showers this evening.

Problem is though that they can't really predict exact location of downpours as such and where any storms may crop up.  Take with a pinch of salt and radar watching and nowcasting in these situations - always saves me a lot of headache!

This is looking terribly 'bustish' in all honesty. Other than Wales, the entire thing has been a massive dud AS PER. It's why there's always so much negativity about anything the charts show on my behalf. They virtually never come to fruition.

Might get the edge of the storm currently over South Shropshire , more like to end up west of here though. Close call.

There's certainly less 'oomph' today, there were considerable strikes this time yesterday. Something needs to give quickly for there to be as good a day as yesterday.

Sky turning very dar here again as it has on and off all afternoon. Been some amazing looking undulatus formations with the odd congestus billowing up between any gaps. Feels and looks ripe out there for a storm but as of yet diddly squat,,  :cc_confused:

What's the big fiasco with tomorrow night all I see is heavy rain moving up from the south..

There'll be a lot of instability in France when that lot develops so there's probably good chance it'll be quite intense/electrical there, but not seeing much instability here so heavy rain, maybe odd spark, but not a great deal more I can see at this stage.
