Well we know who nicked all the storms today. Looking quiet lively out there isn't it.

Meanwhile Sunny Sheffield keeps warm and dry.

As a 32 Year old, When I see storms heading for me, I'm like a child running between windows , up and downstairs, checking the radars. Grabbing the camera, running again up an downstairs. Jumping up and down like a girl at a Justin Beiber concert.

I go like that still and I am 54!

That all sounds too familiar!

Beautiful sunshine here, just a slight haze.. wouldn't have a clue that was moving towards here!

Just hope it keeps its strength over the Irish sea! Good luck buddy, stay safe!

Also a cell has just fired up North of Sheffield.

I am exactly the same, constantly checking every window for further development.

Need an excuse not to go back to work now don't want to miss anything

A SINGLE, LONELY STRIKE JUST OFF THE SOUTH COAST.....

Could this be the sign we all waiting for?

For 'Sunny Sheffield' read 'almost every inland location in England' ;)

All this Welsh storm chat going on is making me feel as if not much else if likely to happen elsewhere, looking at the radar and I can see all storm movement seems to be on that same line from Dorset/Devon and up through Wales.

Clouds are bubbling up well today, but they seem to cap to a point then just wonder off lol, nothing that tall at the moment. Question is will the midlands and slightly further east sample something this evening and tonight is there anything strong to suggest this.

Seen plenty of charts over the passed few days, but even the latest weather from the BBC doesn't give any strong indication. :)

There are some cumulus building up here but nothing stormy looking.

Quite an active convective day, today. There have been many heavy showers with 1 torrential downpour at 10:00 giving 1 clap of thunder.

Showers firing over North France too

Exactly what I'd just noticed - though convection over France is far from explosive based on satellite returns

Came back from getting Lo from school, quite a strong breeze, warm and some cloud bubbling up, but nothing I would say is any different to fair weather cloud, although it is now quite hazy and I can finally see some cumulus building. Still so much different opinions on what it going on, gone form 72% chance of a storm back to 52% and hoping the Met offices 'only cloud' forecast is wrong. Fingers crossed!

....

Where they merge into a Massive MCS and get stuck in the Severn valleys bringing us 10+ hours of extremely frequent lightning.
