South Coast, Cornwall and perhaps Exeter and Bournemouth area looking at getting some imports later this evening

Storms near the channel islands building and looks as if there is more behind them.

Are them cloud tops in Bordeaux going to leave high cloud for us resulting in a dead brick for tomorrow or is it that unstable it doesn't matter?

Just thinking back when the same thing happened and killed convection, can't remember the date but i think Paul S had a film crew with him.. anyway hope its worth putting the

batteries on charge (again) .

BBC local forecast doesn't seem to think T-Storms for Kent, more just some showers.

Very heavy and squally shower pushing through now.

Storms passing by the west, occasionally, but now each cell is becoming less thundery, suggesting the available potential energy is declining somewhat.

You would think you were over France looking at the storms breaking out in Wales and in the Midlands!

Fair play Wales has taken a battering today - And still is! What does surprise me is the lack of warnings from MO!

Very large rain drops here. Thundery rain style and that nice smell that come with it.

Exactly the same here, looks like something is developing right over us so places upwind look out.

Nothing, but there are developments far far to the south

Agreed - Cheshire seems in the firing line to me this evening!

Moved off as quick as it devloped. But I think the radar could be difficult to use as they're developing so quickly and developing all over the place! Current radar suggests that there's nothing else due but in this atmosphere...you just can't tell.

For people wanting to track storms this website is the best for tracking real-time lightning strikes. It was posted earlier, in case you missed it!

http://www.lightningmaps.org/realtime?lang=en

PS.Turn the speaker on, and it tells you when theres been a strike with a noise!
