Certainly beginning to get hazy and cloud over here. I hope this is a sign of good things to come.

Late increase in temperature here after spots of rain all day, nothing heavy after those rumbles this morning, here's hoping something happens in the next few hours ? Things need to kick off in the southwest for us to see anything

Looks like an amazing storm in North Wales, damn I wish I had been there :D

It's very warm and humid here with the sun beating down strong despite a few cauliflower clouds around. As someone said earlier they do appear to be hitting a cap though. However, we have all this energy pent up over England from a few days now of 20c+ warmth along with increasing humidity. I am looking forward to when it does finally go "pop".

Some odd big rain drops fell from a cloud passing over. Sun is still blaring away too

Kicking off in Dorset now, around Bridport. Nothing but drizzle and the occasional heavy shower here in South Devon, but here's hoping for some late development.

just my luck! Just had 3 amazing days in West bay Bridport, arrived back in Christchurch today and what happens? Yeah you guessed it, thunderstorm in Bridport, it could only happen to me! Lol

Had what seems like near constant distant rumbles all day, always goes just that bit too far north or south for us to enjoy anything here! Maybe later today or tonight we will get lucky! North West Wales have been super spoilt today though!

Is that purple area north of Wales likely to be rain or hail, anyone?

We had a mixture of rain and pea sized hail.

Apparently there was just thunder, but I didn't hear anything. Starting to rain again.

Blahhh nothing really of note here, its oppressively humid though, got a ringing headache. Turkey towers trying to go up to my north and south but seem to be hitting a cap and collapsing on themselves. Not holding out much hope here in North Hampshire

You would have thought there was a Snow Storm after all the posts !! Like a firework display, eyes draw to the Isle of Man, Please update us. Could there have been a possible Supercell? :)

Nice storm popped up Rhyl way, action getting closer to The Wirral area just now. Whole line of instability is gradually creeping eastwards and onwards - hottest day of the year so far with natures fireworks, becoming more widespread into this evening and overnight for some.Good luck if you're lastminute chasing.com :)

I am now poised and ready to chase but nothing within 100 miles of Derby.

Very dark skies to my East/North and they travel NW. Moderate heavy rain for a while and one rumble of thunder but nowt else! The skies almost look dark purple towards Taunton. Still warm, but not like it was this morning/early afternoon.

Sun is starting to reappear again now :)

Most, even on here, did not anticipate such an outbreak of thunderstorms today across the west!
