I personally don't think high pressure will be a problem for any of us tomorrow according to this chart. Higher pressure is seen in systems around us. Looks like the east will be roughly 1006 or could be nearer to 1004 at midday according to this run.

Possibly the first area of development in the southwest, just north of Plymouth..

First north moving development now in the southwest. A scattering of showers which will hopefully develop nicely as they move north.

On a side note, the high res precipitation graphics on the BBC's website still highlights their uncertainty towards the next few days. It's all over the place.

elevated convection now becoming apparent over the south west as the western edge of the plume starts to destabilize. Showers have already broken out over Cornwall & west Devon heading out into the Bristol Channel, and now 3 cells are developing further south east over Lyme Bay in the English Channel

I think your part of the country is going to see most of the action today and then the storm risk  will gradually spread east!

Humdinger a in west and central Wales, expected to track north and die out, then a rash to develop around n Wales and NW England later today, may bump into some of it as I head back from Thorpe park tonight. Metoffice seem to now think a thundery plume will move northwards tonight and into tomorrow from France.

not one mention of thunder in the West Midlands forecast, not that l mind lm only here to learn :p however both mon/tues had mentions of possible thunder last update but all mentions have been all removed despite (from the weather models) there being allot of potential from what l saw on the GFS outputs (that being said lm still a novice and lm only making assumptions based upon whats been said here and how close Swansea is to me hence the confusion of why there is no mention on the met office of thunder any more).

The BBC seem to be frightened to mention the T word in their recent forecasts!

We can see just how electrically active it is currently over Wales, and all BBC mentioned was a few showers breaking out there overnight. There is pretty much cross model agreement now for a thundery spell of weather, it is already happening. I think the SW, Wales, N and W England will see thunderstorms develop today but for C and E parts the cap may still be too strong. However, during this week I think all areas are in with a chance of a thunderstorm although that does not mean that all areas will see one of course.

The BBC are definitely under stating the thundery potential this week!

Very little action for a majority of us today with further spells of very warm sunshine. The exception to this is Wales, and especially NW England who could see storms break out this afternoon.

The real action could be later this evening and overnight when storms will break out more widely from the S and move N. Tomorrow should also see widespread storms.
