We have left nice and early today on the 6 hours drive north to Kansas for a decent risk. Expecting a diffuse front across NE Oklahoma to lift northwards as a Warm Front later today, expecting storm initiation around 4pm somewhere near the front in Eastern Kansas and any Supercell that can ride the front has a decent chance of a Tornado later today.

Extremely Large hail will be the primary hazard today so need to be careful with that but should be some decent supercell structures to be viewed by the Storm Chase Virgins.

Not yet barring a couple of tests, they'll be streaming a bit later though. I'll post the link up to the streaming page shortly.

Even through the streaming you can see some movement in that system

Well we've done alright today! Purple lightning, pancake stack LP supercell, marble sized hail and a surprise tornado! Just heading north now with multiple CGs raining down around us. Oh hell yes. And tomorrow is the Moderate risk (although widely suspected to go up a notch to high) happy days!

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
