Working in coleraine today. Snowing now.

Cleared four inches off cars and driveway this morning.

Get it cleared before any freezing might occurs making it really difficult. Hope weekend delivers!!

Good video here showing what could happen Monday with low pressure following the jet stream up over the high pressure and down over Ireland giving us heavy snow! Explains the charts you showed above Gaz.

Yeah he's one of the Beebs better forecasters Storm. We actually could do quite well from this if that high pressure just nudged slighly further East then it would be game on.

if you watch the met office radar and turn on the IR satellite there is a large area of could forming behind this next system.  Its outside of the boundaries of the precipitation radar.

Just checked a different radar. That was just showers. This must be it to the north west.....

Big lump of precipitation approaching Donegal on a vector for Derry-Belfast.

Nothing really to talk about here. Mainly sleet with a bit of hail. Prob turn more to snow inland.

Had some snow this morning but it didnt really stick,if only it had been a degree or so colder.  I think when people say the ground is too wet for snow to stick that isnt quite true. If its cold enough even if the ground is wet the snow would stick sooner or later, ive seen snow stick to wet ground on numerous occasions over the yrs and if it doesnt stick then its just not quite cold enough.

Anyway some very nice pics posted yesterday and so far today.

It certainly feels bitter out in the wind, dry here atm, mostly cloudy ,temp 2.4c.
