Good heavy snow in crumlin, ground to wet and not lying.  Can see a covering over the mountains behind Belfast already.....should make the drive home fun.

Just travelling through the east of the city on the way in to work - the shower started as sleet then turned to snow for about 5 minutes, then back to sleet again - great to see - bodes well for later on!

Yeh definitely!

I live in Castlereagh/East and would travel in but I stayed at a friends in North Belfast last night and it was sleety this morning ..

Hoping I get home to some lovely snow and have trouble getting up my street lol

Haven't won my bet yet, Pomeroy.

Have by close of play today (5ish) for some snow to actually lie. We agreed that it has to lie. I'm not so confident now with ground being wet, just hoping it snows heavy enough to lie on ground for a bit.

:D

Hope everyone is enjoying the exciting weather. Haven't been posting much lately due to lots of travel and only having mobile access, then I had a problem with my phone, had to reset it, and lost most of the photos and videos from the Galtees last week. Then I went to the docs about a niggling pain in my small finger on my right hand and it turns out it's broken, so I've now got a cast up to my elbow and typing is a bit awkward!

Anyway, just sleet showers so far this morning, but the skies have just turned very dark, the Galtees have disappeared and the wind has picked up considerably, so something is coming!

The shower has passed, so a thunder sleet/hail/snow mix, which the dog slept through on the grass!?

Cheers mate. Not expecting much snow here until tonight/tomorrow morning. But I have to go to the fracture clinic in CUH in Cork for 10am, so I'll probably miss out on most of the snow :(
