Weather station thermometer peaked at 29.4c this afternoon which makes it my warmest day of the year so far.

Worryingly though the upstairs inside temperature is matching it though.

We had the warmest day so far too at 25.7C around 1pm after a mainly sunny morning - and wind more from NW for a change.It's gone cloudy now-  and a more comfortable 22C

Wish I could pull that cooler fresher weather down from the North West (it will get here eventually), last few nights have made for uncomfortable sleeping.  Low 20's with a refreshing breeze please, not the sticky high 20's!

Just started raining here, but it arrived late enough to not spoil a BBQ and a few beers.

Now time to retire to the house with a bottle of red

Yesterday sixth bbq of the week and reached 30.5c.....was very oppresive yesterday afternoon qnd feeling a lot fresher now but its 20c atm...so not cold...

Absolutely torrential rain heading south !!....

Looking at the radar we should start to see this in the next 30 minutes or so.Could do with some rain really but hopefully it's then back to sunshine for the next few days.

After a few hours with on and off rain it's back to part cloud and a bit of sun.

Certainly a lot cooler though.

Not to bad today 20c light wind , all in all not to bad !.......

We had a couple of really heavy showers first thing this morning, certainly enough to water the plants but since lunchtime it's been an improving picture and now it's turned into a decent warm day.Temperatures well down on this time last week but certainly pleasant enough.

Absolutely p ing down at the moment and has been for the last half hour or so and Saturdays looking like a wash out for my part of the country.

Certainly poles apart from last weekend.

A couple of hours ago I was going to post that everything was pointing to the heaviest of the rain being pushed further west than here and a good chance of a better day than forecast being likely.

Glad I didn't because the rain arrived just afterwards and has been pretty well continuous since.never mind, hopefully the same rules will apply when it's snow in the forecast.

Looks to be clearing through here now.

Certainly a lot brighter than earlier but only 17c, a full 13c down on this time last week.

Think you might still have the last band of showers to come through.

It's at that point where you wonder whether those temperatures of last week have gone for this year now.
