A great Summers day! Sunny skies, light winds and barely a cloud in sight, managed 22c this afternoon it's still 20c and feeling quite close, could be an uncomfortable night for sleeping.

Not noticed any more red ants than usual, plenty of black ants around.

do you mean red ants as in one of the only types of stinging ant in the British Isles, or in fact Red Spider Mite, which is often called red ants, despite not being an ant?

Feeling very muggy here, 15c min during the early hours, had to leave the bedroom open all night. Looks like another good day coming up perhaps a tad warmer today. 17.7c atm and rising. Got the BBQ cleaned off ready for later :)

Some patchy sea mist rolled in here but hopefully doesn't look like it will last, moving along quite quickly looking at the satellite images. Temp fallen slightly to 19.2c from the earlier 20.7c. Darn sea mist...

Currently 23.7c here and, after a cloudy period earlier in the afternoon we've now got pretty well wall to wall sunshine.

Forget heat waves and temperatures in the high twenties and above, this would do me all summer.

A bit more cloud around this morning but the suns currently out. The last few days have been great with temps into the low 20's and nearly wall to wall sunshine apart from a few hours of sea mist yesterday.

Looks like surely a fair day for them, far from guaranteed most years even at the end of June! It's early yet to cut grass for hay but getting twitchy, it has bulked up a lot the last few days and ground is more or less dry now.Usually most of it is done first half of July, but nice to get better quality fro younger grass cut late June if the weather co-operates.Here near the North Sea low cloud and drizzle comes back at the drop of a hat at the moment though.

Another very sunny afternoon not quite as warm as recent days but still a respectable 19c, further inland it's hit 22c at Keswick.

Same here, just done a few miles walk after work with the dog and it's a lovely evening. It's amazing how quickly the ground is drying out now with conditions underfoot turning quite dusty and small streams virtually dry.Long may it continue.
