looks like another lovely day today with the sun shining and a few clouds rolling around stirling currently at 17.3c cant tell what the polmont station is at it isn't showing past 9:53am there probably doing some work on it.

looks like the settled weather could persist for a while I picked this up on twitter its the 10 day precipitation accumulation from the ECM and it shows we aren't going to see a whole lot of moisture in the coming period

post-18233-0-10251500-1403260756_thumb.p

also saw this on twitter last night and thought it looked cool its a high shot from above of a storm cloud building over the appilation mountains (hope that's spelt correctly)

not weather but have to say well done to COSTA RICA.

not only for ensuring England are on the earliest flight home :ninja:

but for showing us that small nations in the world like ourselves can do wonderful things as costa rica from the 2011 census had a population of 4.5 million and is only around half the size of Scotland and has independence and goes things alone and with no outside help or hindrance just passion pride and belief and that's all you need to succeed in this world.

It was great. The realisation that they don't have tht good a team may actually hit the English...It is great for their nation.Don't want to get into politics but since 30% of their population don't attend school, I'm not sure Costa Rica are the best country to look upto...

I was meaning more on just a football front I should have worded it better but I was pretty drunk at the time we were having a SCOTLAND MIGHT NOT BE THERE BUT AT LEAST THE ENGLISH SCREWED UP AGAIN party and costa rica beating Italy just put the icing on the cake last night and its always good to see an underdog doing things that people have said would never happen and sending the old enemy home was the best part about it.

maybe come 2016 if wee ginger Strachan keeps doing the same kind of job he did for celtic and seems to be carrying on with the national team then we can be part of it as well (same group as England would do me fine then)

better add some weather in - braw here that big shiny yellow thing is making appearances again today but a little more of the white fluffy stuff around blocking out the blue above.

stirling station at 18.8c and the polmont one still hasn't moved from yesterday morning so no reading on that.

Mostly cloudy, 18c. Looks like the recent fine weather will gradually break down over the next few days.

Feeling very fortunate to have been on holiday over the last week!

Back to high humidity with very wetting drizzly showers today.Currently 16c.

Went down to Highland Show and also visit family in Glasgow and Edinburgh on Wednesday evening and passing through Drummochter it was 23c on car thermometer. Not often you see it as warm as that in the evening there. Lovely day at Ingilston Thursday with  dryer air and warm sunshine.

Turnips (Swedes)  just bombing along and barley in full ear maybe 10 days ahead of average

Good yield of wraped silage/hayledge secured just before we went off and a little bit of hay lying to make,Need dry weather for that or it will have to be wrapped too. Still got a feeling its going to a long hay season.(ie.. wet )

Was at the Highland today where it was fairly cloudy and reasonably cool for most of the morning. Much warmer here, maybe just a couple of degrees (I think 19 thereto 21 here) however, with much less wind and more sunshine the difference is significant.

Tuesday looks like the first day we will not reach 20. If it did then that would be 14 days >20c which is not too bad for this early in summer. Temperatures were rather average (apart from 3 days just gone) but due to the suns strength it's been a good -needed - spell of weather.

It's came at a great time for farmers/growers and has allowed all of us to marvel at the length of our daylight at this latitude :)

Yes, come tomorrow evening we will be saying   jings, the nichts are fair drawin' in noo!  Currently16.2c after a high of 19.4c today. Not much sun  but with only a soft breeze it felt pleasantly warm. I think tomorrow pretty much a carbon copy?

Was thinking yesterday that this might be our 'summer' and reading some of your posts just now it jogged my memory when a couple of you gents mentioned about being at the Highland Show. Hubby was involved in that last year over three days and I remember him complaining about the heat. Of course then there was that wonderful heat wave last two weeks in July, so you never know. We were down in Kent at that time and although it was very warm, we didn't have heat to the extent you had up here. Sods law! Might get lucky this year though as we are down for 6 weeks this time. If it rains, at least it will be warm rain! :)

Great day here, only became cloudy in the last half hour. Temperature reached 23.8c - more than 5c above average (18.7) - so another very pleasant, warm/very warm day with lots of sunshine

Ground is getting hard now...

Currently 18.5c here and a lovely evening. We reached 20.2c today so another nice one.  All good things have to come to an end I suppose though. Hope the end, when it comes, doesn't last too long!

Uhm, coz it's June, it's summer and it was a joke

ah right thought you had seen or been told something and it was due to snow lol.

June snow isn't out of the question though just look at 1975 and a lot of places in eastern Europe have been seeing snow lately as well as parts of the northern states.

22.5c and a bit more humid than of late. Sunny for long spells. Wind has picked up in the last hour and it's now cooler.

20c and it has turned out to be a decent evening with a scattering of white, fluffy/flat based bits and strips of cloud in fine summery sunshine and blue sky

Got an absolute soaking at tea time after a very humid afternoon.   Growth still tropical  but no use for haymaking.

Got the haylage wrapped today. Got just over 100 (small) bales of haylage per acre from the field. Just wondered what you were getting. Haylage is a bit closer to hay than last year, quite dry but not too much so Edited by SW Saltire
