Sun is coming out here now, a sunny afternoon would be great. Anything other than grey skies doing nothing.

just rain and it looks like the sun wants to peek though, so it looks like i'll be posting in the 'no storm club' today. Not a bean of anything thundery.

According to Netweather radar, there was a cell around 7 am. over Cambridge and St. Neots that was probably thundery, so you only just missed-out.

April shower at the moment, charging along on a gusty SE'ly wth some moderate to heavy bursts of rain. No activity since exiting Suffolk, any rumbles I hear is the steam train on the Mid Norfolk railway :p

Just drying out now, had to go out to the library, postbox and local shop, as if by magic it stops raining just as I get back home.

We had a loud rumble of thunder just before 10, a nice shower following that and since then the cloud has broken up to leave patches of very blue sky and sunny spells. Still a few more ominous clouds about though.

For some reason the temperature display on my weather station is on the blink which is very annoying but having just been outside, boy it's humid. Not pleasant at all.

not judging, just observing that for me was a bit of a damp squib. one distant rumble and an hour or so of heavy rain, but by no means notable here.

Nothing much here unless you like dull and rain.  Checked the radar and that second wave has passed me now.

Now it is a wait to see if the near continent throws anything our way later or the sun causes some localised storms.

well we had a nice sunny morning up until about 7.00 when it started to cloud over and some drizzle. Had some torrential rain here at times, but no other activity. I have been nowcasting with the clouds hoping for them to clear now, to allow heating. About 15 mins ago, I thought we were on a winner as big patches of blue sky appeared and the sun was trying very hard, but looked out again 15 mins later and back to miserable grey again.

Need to go into town so am hoping it brightens up while we are out to get some potential for some home growns round here. Not fancying a soggy walk round unless accompanied by a storm.  :nonono:

Considering how humid it is, you get the feeling that something will almost certainly start to develop.... If the sun comes out, then it definitely will be game on.

Looks like that was our lot, even though we didn't have anything!

Far too early to call that still. If, the sun does come out, we could see something spark up.

Brighter here now, some sunny spells but still plenty of cloud about, no rain at present and not much of any breeze either.

Just heard my parents dog had to be put down earlier :( he had not been well for a while now.

Turned into a rather nice day here, good sunny spells, a nice breeze and temps of 21C which isn't brilliant but in the sun feels a lot warmer. Doubt we'll see any storms now apart from the odd shower. Oh well, next time!

damp and squib spring to mind. Oh well, plenty of summer left.

Now it feels like I'm walking around in a sweaty armpit.

Sun is back out here and very warm, just hit 20.0oC in the shed.

Decided to spend some time in the kitchen with the doors and windows open and bake some quiches (car boot for tomorrow is off so no hurry now to get the weekend jobs done).
