Something of a 'Thames Streamer' setting up today for parts of Essex and East/Southeast London,the rain has been non stop and occasionaly heavy,whrre as points west and south by 30 miles remain dry.

The NE flow off the river is definatly pepping up rainfall here...........just imagine it in mid Winter ;-)

The rain is pouring down here now but managed to escape with a relatively 'dry' day. Still disgustingly cold for late May and very dim with all the grey skies. Later this week and weekend looks a lot better thankfully.

rain and  floods  to day  and  its still pouring down out  side!!!

 

Moderate rain of only about 2mm/hr with the odd heavy burst at 10mm/hr. Not usually a problem but with it going on for so long the totals just keep going up! The Deben wasn't all that high this evening but if this keeps going for another 5 or 6 hours as forecast then there will be a lot of water about tomorrow. Doesn't bode well for the Suffolk show either! Take your wellies/waders!

Looking like a very wet night to come for many. At least it will be nice to drift off to the sound of it.

Hopefully our houses won't be drifting in rivers of water in the morning.

sorry only brief as been decorating today again

 

no great warmth this week but the rain looks to be the main concern until friday

Well over 24 hours of almost constant rain which frankly since rush hour has upgraded to heavy persistent rain. Looks like it will last several hours yet. Time to sleep and hope tomorrow is better.

Absolutely dismal here as Matt says above (we live in the same town :) and share the same name lol.) 

 

Thankfully it looks to improve at the weekend and hopefully will then settle, praying to god that we don't get caught in a low again in time for June.

Raining still, but I've missed the real heavy stuff which has affected the east! Temps are holding up though, 10.3c, today's max was about 13.7c, cold for May! :cold: :cold: :cold: !

Afternoon all

 

Well another cool, dull and damp day here too, rained everyday for nigh on a week now, and I have to nip out (not far and only just round the corner) so will be getting the warm and wet weather jacket out methinks.

Heating on today was that cold ! Hope the weather being like this means we are in for a fab July and aug ? One can live in hope :)

Sometimes crud Mays are indeed followed by hot sunny June and July months!
