Morning, decent day on the cards with good sunny spells and just an isolated shower. Temperatures look set to hit around 16-19C. All in all a very pleasant day.

Still disagreements about tomorrow with the GFS still calling cold and wet, whilst the UKMO are calling a showery day with reasonable temperatures (around 20C in places)

Staying close to home for this BH weekend due to the weather, not a bad thing mind.

Quiet day weather wise today, especially after the storms! Not sure what will happen tomorrow, the BBC website had thunder over London for Monday and now the symbol has gone! The met office forecast however, is as follows,

Monday!

Some bright or sunny intervals and the odd shower, but with the risk of these turning heavy and thundery later in the day. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:Generally unsettled with showers or longer periods of rain, although Thursday may see some drier and brighter spells.

Kingston riverside thronging this Sunday afternoon; the river was congested at times with yacht-ers (is that the correct term?) having to navigate between river boats, pleasure boats and the like. A mix of sun and clouds with quite a breeze at times but pleasantly warm. Off for another birthday party this afternoon, hoping for a bit of garden socialising after we had to settle for an indoor barbie here yesterday for husband's birthday do, although we only caught a few showers in the end and were possibly too noisy to notice any thunder.

Hope everyone is having a nice bank holiday weekend. By the way, Fluid Dynamic if you are around, I got the book that you suggested and it's got some great walks in it, everyone was having a good read of it yesterday (oh yes, that was some wild party, rock and roll!).

hi all

hope you had a good day

only doing tonight and tomorrow for now

tonight

http://www.raintoday.co.uk/

showers will move in over night and will be light and patchy at first

then 2am

Posted Image

will effect the far south of the region but look light

by 8am

Posted Image

still patchy rain effecting south of london (all areas to the south)

more heavy rain getting ready to pounce

Posted Image

the fax shows a trough right through the centre of our region

the flow is a north easterly and only weak

Posted Image

however the breeze could pick up on east facing coasts which will make it feel chilly

rainfall at 2pm

Posted Image

note the heavier rain is effecting most area but the east and north east of our region may see lighter showers

cape showing at 2pm

Posted Image

then 5pm

Posted Image

so any showers around at this time look to have a chance of having a rumble or 2

and the showers locally could be potentially heavy

rainfall at 8pm

Posted Image

so still heavy rain showing effecting all north of our region but again excluding the far east and north east

temps

Posted Image

15-16 coastal regions

most areas 16-17

if you can grab a length of sun a 20 is possible (more likely cambridge area)

its a tricky one tomorrow

looks like a dry start up north of london and some sun

south of london a drizzly start with the odd sunny bit

heavy rain incoming from the south by mid morning moving north through the day

the far south and south-south east should see things brighten up late pm

if you get the heavier bursts which looks likely a line right through the middle of our region if you see where the trough on the fax is

thunderstorms are possible but not obviously guaranteed (watch the radar)

monday night-tuesday and wednesday have some heavy rain showing (not for all)so holding this until tomorrow to hopefully

get a better idea of track.

anyway hope that helps and enjoy tomorrow whatever your doing

Cheers JP. Breezy here all day, but mostly sunny. Nice thunderstorm yesterday afternoon with some peasized hail. Back to the Merlot. Enjoy the rest of the long weekend everyone.

Nice day today, it did look ominous this morning as cloud bubbled up quickly, but if anything after late morning the cloud just melted away to leave patchy fair weather stuff. When to a BBQ in london hosted by a cousin of my girlfriend. Whilst it wasn't warm enough for t-shirts, it was pleasant enough.

Lovely day here. No rain, plenty of sunny spells. Perfect afternoon for siting in the country pub having good food, good drink and a great place for the children to play.

If only every Sunday was like this....

Morning all

Damp and dismal day here, feeling cool again.  Not been out but was woken up early by the ash cart doing the rounds so my attempt at a lie in failed.

Hope things improve later but having seen the weather on Look East earlier that looks very unlikely.

Amazing the difference between between areas in our region

Dry and bright here and has been all morning.  Would be great if I didn't have to work.

Sitting in front of a computer while the sun is shining ......

Models are suggesting heavy showers over the south east building over the next few hours, hard to believe when its been damp and grey all morning but hopefully something might kick off

What an awful day here. Don't mind some rain but why does it have to be so damn cold? It's 12C currently, yuck. Some forecasts going for persistent rain for our region from now until Friday. Oh joy lol...
