Would've thought you were getting some thunder action tonight! If all is calm in Cowes, then nothing to see or hear in London tonight!

Nothing yet, but there's an impressive amount of rain heading this way according to raintoday.co.uk.

There were impressive thunderstorms in France which looked like they were heading north at one point, is it those that are going to give you all that rain?

Anyone under the heavy rain over Suffolk right now. For the past 20 minutes we just had rain averaging 30mm/hr and over 100mm/hr at many points. Heaviest rain I've seen in years!! Roads like rivers and surface water flooding everywhere.

Morning, bright and breezy start here. Had some rain but nothing of particular interest.

Level 1 estofex warning for the region today. Hopefully there will be some big home grown storms today.

Morning

Bright and breezy here. Feels a lot cooler of later.

Don't think we had any storms last night. I did wake at 12.30 and it was torrential rain.

Oh well off you vote for the EU Elections. Have a good day all

It's just for the summer season as the regionals get pretty quiet with hardly any posts for weeks!

Yep, that's passing over here now. As you say, mostly thunder, but there have been a few flashes so far. Good stuff.

I feel like the theme from Jeopardy has summed up these last couple of days, stormwise, for me.

Just had hail here too, some of them were larger than pea sized. Coming down at a hell of a rate.
