Some impressively dark sky above me at home right now.. I'll post a pic shortly.

 

I'm at Crossways and it's still lovely and sunny!

It is very ominous, the Radar indicates a line of Sharp Showers developing over London.

Just popped on line to see if there are any storms about in the area. It's come over really dark in Barnehurst and has just started to rain... (although not v heavy)

Taken about 10 mins ago from outside bluewater looking towards Gravesend!

 

Indoors now and looks like i`m sat under that train of showers coming through London.

Well the showers successfully evaded Saffron Walden today, even with line of torrential rain showing up on the radar earlier provided nothing here  :rofl:

Torrential downpour in southend with hailstones, lawn covered in white - now very quite and calm - just as I type sounded like a rumble of thunder

repost from the convective thread as it's relevant to our region

nice cloudscapes to my north as some electrified cells trundle SSE through north Wilts into Oxon towards the home counties....all tracking around 20-30 miles to my north so not affected here, but never the less nice looking glaciated Cb's..

 

latest NW  v4 radar grab highlighting the cells in this area with sferic overlay...

Dark skies and torrential rain here in North West London

Very surprised that the torrential rain here wasn't accompanied by thunder, lightning and hail! Still looks like more to come as the skies are darkening again!

Same here Lassie though we did have some hail earlier. Some very moody looking skies overhead at the moment and I'm picking up some sferics on my trusty am radio

Storm just kicked off over Benfleet canvey area, 3 strikes and thunder in the last minute!

 

3 more strikes and thunder to my S/E but another approaching from the N/W looking very dark and angry  :yahoo:

 

2nd edit, 4 more strikes, sorry make that 5 all IC, edit again make that 7!!!!

Folk in West and South West London must be seeing some fireworks now or soon I would think. It's all just to the south of me but I'm picking up plenty of sferics on my am radio.  There are some impressive looking towers to my north as well looking towards Hertfordshire.
