Thought I was in banter when I made the post that is why.

Sun has gone here and significant cloud cover here, some patches of blue holding on.  Dry, calm and quite warm still though.

  :gathering:  :D  :)

Happy POETS day - the weekend is just in in sight :-) Rather warm today, but the breeze is making it feel fresher. We have been spoilt for weather recently, I doubt it will continue, perhaps some storms could spawn, cape is favourable for storm development. Nice and sunny out there :good:

Must be time for my eldest son to cycle back from work at the DHL warehouse then! Doesn't live far though. Cloudy here at lunchtime, but generally sunny and rather sticky. High of 24c, currently 20.9c, warmer by the barbeque.

Still have clear blue skies here. The sun is still doing its magic and it still feels very warm.

Clear blue skies here 22c, storms must have taken a wrong turn, or is it still too early?

As far as I'm aware it was only ever a marginal chance for the SE and home counties.

Having said that, it has suddenly started to cloud over

Almost completely clouded over here at the moment - not good for trying to spot noctilucent clouds later - and it's unpleasantly muggy, even though the relative humidity isn't meant to be that high.

Tomorrow's low 20s should be pleasant for bumbling round rural Berkshire in a vintage double-decker bus (vintage, but three years younger than me, that is...).

And this is weather related, why?

Who appointed you as the forum police ?

I don't often post much on this topic anymore and it must be obvious that quite a few regular and respected members have gone elsewhere recently. It's not difficult to see why.

In the sweet spot tonight - just started to rain heavily and we have some thunder and lightning  :yahoo:  Nice to top up the fish pond and water the garden.

Storm heading off towards Pompey now, but looks like we could be hit again in an hour or two. Currently a line of lightning strikes just north of Salisbury, Newbury and Reading: http://www.lightningmaps.org/blitzortung/europe/index.php?bo_page=map〈=en

Currently 18.C, 1022mb. 80% humidity.

Not weather terms I'm familiar with! Maybe the BBC should start using them in their forecasts! Make them more interesting! 19.5c here, enough to melt the sweet spot!

yep just driven back from Southampton to follow a sky flickering ahead to the west and to the east of me.. A fair bit of rain leaving Southanpton.. Back to Newbury and the strikes were more intensified and bold. Currently to the east of me.. Strangely though nothing appears on my netweather radar at all. As I type the sky is rumbling fairly consistently and the skies brighten every few seconds ... It is hot and muggy song not much air, nor rain.. Wow that was a bright one... Almost pink infact? Just when I think it has gone away it starts again.. Windows open, dogs barking it feels like a movie...
