At the moment the models are showing a disturbance running down into the low countries and finally ending up in France, this could get close enough to bring some showers. Also given the wind direction, there is a chance of low cloud and drizzle developing and coming in off the north sea, but again still plenty of time for thing to change. Might as well hit the hay too now.

Many thanks Leigh. I finally got a Blue Badge approved a couple of weeks ago and it's made a huge difference to getting out and about.

 

Enough chat, it's another near cloudless sky here this morning and I'm trying trying to decide if I should head for Camber Sands, Dungeness or stay more local again. Have a good day all.

Another sunny and warm start to the day here, some thin and patchy cloud has since moved in making the sunlight a bit more diffused, quite calm and feeling rather muggy now though.

Afternoon, nice day here, though a tad cooler and cloudier than yesterday, still hit 22/23C mind you.

 

Some thundery interest on Friday evening perhaps as a cold front moves down the north sea and engages the warm air over us.

Think the weekend is not looking too bad, yes it will not be scorchio by any standards and cloudy it seems, but 18oC is not bad and avg for the time of year.

Well here it is. My 1000th post on Netweather. I'm not going to talk about the weather as such, but what a brilliant weather forum.

I was fortunate enough to be a member during the classic late November and December 2010 bitter start to winter. I was also here for the February 2009 Thames streamer which dumped shed loads of snow on my location.

But weather aside I've met a many a great cyber friends on here. We all share snippets of our lives, good and bad which is all bought together by our common love of the English weather.

I've also learnt a hell of a lot by reading and studying some of the more if you like knowledgeable posters on here.

But what has kept me posting and enjoying this great website is the this great SE thread.

Thanks Paul and the rest of the Netweather team for creating such a great weather website.

Weather much like everyone else has reported, cloud on and off, warm and slightly muggy with a northery breeze. Hoping it will stay clear so I can try to see if there are any noctilucent clouds visible this far south later.

Congrats on your 1000th post. I remember the 2009 Thames streamer very well around here.

may linger on the far south coasts and south west of our region until later

anywhere exposed to the east will feel chillier around 15-17 degrees and wind will be noticeable

 

everywhere else 20-21 degrees but still feeling cooler in the wind

 

sun may be restricted except the west and south west of our region who look to have the most once the rain has cleared

Well, if it was a nice day I missed it.  Working in a warehouse that sells drugs (Legal drugs to the Pharmacies of the world).  No natural light and lots of security.  I did see the sun at lunchtime but by the time I finished, the sun had set and gloom was spreading it's tentacles across the land.  As I got into my car I saw a bat fluttering across a darkening sky streaked with blue and grey.  By the time I reached my hotel, it was dark

 

Dry and mild (but not muggy), tomorrow I go home ( after a very busy 3 weeks  --  averaging 12 hour days every day including weekends. 

 

Cream crackered and looking forward to 3 whole days off
