Looks like the Met Office think that a load of rain will come over from that MCS later across Kent/Essex. Looks like some already is.

Did they say anything about it retaining any of the juicy stuff?

Something devoloping over the channel to the SE of Brighton which will head NE towards Essex with a bit of luck!

Huge convective rain drops out of this cell, no lightning, and I even saw the moon for a split second!!

Did you get much out of the first? Seems it started electrifying just as it crossed into Beds, but we got a flash or two here!

Good to hear! It's trying to make up for our winter! Yeah, was very heavy earlier, had a bit of hail mixed in.

Feeling that tonight will be just a muggy night with a few drops of rain for me. On the lighter side, there is a mass outbreak of sunny symbols for my location on the BBC weather site :)

BBC going for a 26C on Friday in London, pretty close to the GFS predictions.

The showers seem intent on avoiding Essex so far. They just want to get to Lincs as soon as possible.
