Strike just detected south of Hastings (on lightning maps.org).....only 1 but you never know....are we going to get things kicking off?

Is disappeared :-( ?

all the UK inland rain bands are fading out now for our area, guess thats it for now then.

Yep saw lightening here in Ashford.... thunder about 40 secs after so 8 miles away approx.... Come on !!!!

Oooo distant flashes and rumbles here in Ashford

The cell responsible is down Hythe and there's a bigger one on the same path in the south Channel at the moment. Don't think it's coming to Ashford but something of interest.

Looks like the Met Office think that a load of rain will come over from that MCS later across Kent/Essex. Looks like some already is.

Yes definitely heard a boom of thunder here in Icklesham (near Hastings and Rye.

Just a small flash here and a minor rumble. I blamed the dog initially. To the east of me, and quite a few miles away I think. Totally dry here today, as could be expected when we were relying on rain and thought that we wouldn't need to water in new planting from over the weekend.
