That is definitely going to hit the SE, the question is how far west will the extent be? Odds on to hit Kent :D

Just had a right scare, a giant hornet flew in through my window. Must admit, I legged it. Luckily it has appear to have left. Unless it's going to come out at night and murder me in my sleep.

Cloudy and very stuffy now.

GIANT HORNETS! :shok: That's all we need, do they sting people for fun like wasps? The sky has got very dark to my SE, someone must be getting something nearby!

Some light rain here now, nothing much TBH but it does feel a tad fresher with it which is welcome.

Hornets., I saw one last summer which landed on my washing.. Huge thing.. I managed to shake it to the grass and put a glass over it.. It was very angry. Decidedly dark here and raining alas no boom yet as GTLTW was hoping for ....:(

Likely, there is lots of juice on the continent, I expect a slight weakening due to the lower cape, I'd go for Dymchurch east. Any futher west will be pushing it.

Came across a wood wasp once, that looked evil but turns out they look bad but are not (HUGE like stinger on them but it is just for laying eggs in old dry wood it seems).

Evening all

A mostly cloudy affair today, with that it was very muggy when out and about at lunch.

A few moderate showers since 5.30, but still feels very uncomfortable. Not helped by the fact I've been out running. I've decided not to hope for anything tonight. My knew motto is 'if it happens - it happens and if it does excellent and I will enjoy it'

I can see the haze from the anvils to our south, hopefully the MCS remains active as it crosses us :)

Yep that main events over France are taking an all too familiar path, Belgium bound. Still looks like there are some showers pushing through the Bay of Biscay which wil probably hit the UK, but they are pretty scattered.

If that beast makes it across then Kent gonna get clobbered.

Yes, just noticed that looking at the radar. Looks like my mum's going to get hit by that big blob coming over from France. It was lovely on the beach today there just a light shower as I left.

The sky is full of AC-cas and altocumulus, all it needs is that trigger and boom :)
