I'm sure you've captured  Lyrid meteor at about 1:40, correct me if I'm wrong. I managed to see 3 of them between 10:15 and 11:20 pm. One for a split second was travelling the other two appeared as bright white flashes. Daughter and I doing a meteor watch tonight.

I think it was just a plane but did capture a meteor possibly a Lyrid on a timelapse, 3 years ago

Theres a good view of Mercury and Venus close together tonight right now. They'll be even closer tomorrow night.

Mercury reaches its greatest elongation on the 30th as Venus quickly races lower in the sky.

I've waited a bit to see this and as would be typical despite the sunniest spring on record it has actually been cloudy the last two nights to the north-west so I've missed it so far!

Clear skies north and south in the early hours, saw faint, thin long threads of NLCs, Jupiter and Saturn bright and clear and saw Venus rising.

Betelgeuse, the bright star in the constellation of Orion, has been fascinating astronomers in the recent months because of its unusually strong decline in brightness. Scientists have been...

They think the dimming earlier this year was caused by a huge sunspot rather than dust.

Stunning video. Never ceases to amaze me when I see these kinds of images that we really are looking at another planet, totally untouched apart from the tracks left behind by our humble rovers.
