Going by the data shown on the finalised and provisional table which have been updated as far as the 28th, it looks like a downward drop of about 0.28C, so 12.2C (12.238) is the most likely final figure.

Accordong to the Met office it was -327.7. So I was slightly out with my guess. Funny, I thought it was fairly mild but the statistics never lie!

Month CET Anomaly notes January 5.7 1.9   February 6.2 2.4   March 7.6 2.0   April 10.2 2.3   May -327.7 -338.8   June 14.3 1.5 provisional, to the 1st

From the HadCET site:

2 June 2014: There are currently errors in the May data due to Rothamsted's data for the last 2 days of the month being unavailable. This is due to a BT line fault - the data will be transmitted once the fault is fixed and then the CET data-sets will be complete again.

YES, The mother in law reported a fault, they said it should be fixed within 3 working days.... The fault was fixed, but only after 9 days.

Like you said, we'll be waiting a long time... But then again it's the MET OFFICE.

So the scores are in, this months winners are mulzy and Milhouse who both got it spot on.

The Seasonal winner was The PIT, with summer blizzard and geoffw not far behind in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Overall the PIT leads, from reef in 2nd and Stationary Front in 3rd.

Takes the spring CET to 10.0 which is the warmest spring for three years and considerably warmer than last year.

Well that was always going to be very likely considering last Spring was the coldest for 50 years.  However, one may not have expected it to be quite as mild as it was.
