firstly sorry if this is the wrong forum to post in but l was having trouble deciding which forum this topic suited as my enquiry relates to trying to find a software for my computer.

basically l recently downloaded a detector which was android based which connects to the blitzortung data for lightning strike detection, now l was wondering if there was something similar for the PC? something l could set alarms on if storms came within a certain radius which would sound and let me know to turn off my PC so l could go out and watch, tho mainly its because l want to keep my computer equipment safe as l use it to work lol. it would just be useful to know ahead of time rather than refreshing websites and having to leave my browser open..
